Show your listings on your own website with the API
Connect your agency website to Estate CRM with an API key so published listings and new-build projects appear live and enquiries arrive as leads.
Your listings live in Estate CRM, and your website can show them live. With a website API key, your web developer reads the listings you choose to publish and sends the site’s contact forms straight back into the CRM as leads. You never copy a listing to the website by hand again.
The website API is part of the Professional and Enterprise plans. Owners and managers switch the website on, but only the agency owner can create API keys.
How do I switch on my website?
- In the sidebar, under Admin, open Website & portals.
- Turn on the switch next to Your website. If it shows Upgrade to use, your plan does not include it yet.
- Open each listing you want online, go to Publish to and tick Your website.
Only listings that are available or reserved are shown. Drafts, sold, rented and withdrawn listings drop off the website by themselves.
How do I create an API key?
- On the same page, find Website API keys.
- Type a name, for example “Main website”, and click Create key.
- Copy the key straight away and click I’ve copied it. For security it is shown only once.
- Send the key to your web developer. It belongs on your website’s server, never in code that runs in the visitor’s browser.
Each key shows when it was last used. If a key leaks or you change developer, click the bin icon to revoke it and create a new one.
What can the website do with the key?
Click API quick reference on the same page for the addresses your developer needs. In short, the website can:
- list published listings with filters (sale or rent, type, area, price, bedrooms) and sorting, page by page
- show one listing in full by its reference, with photos, features and the agent’s details
- read property types, areas and features for its search form, in English, Greek or Russian
- list your new-build projects that are marked Publish on website, with their live availability
- send an enquiry with a name, an e-mail or phone, a message and the listing reference
Every enquiry becomes a lead in the CRM, is routed to the right agent and gets a reply task, just like enquiries from share pages. See lead routing and enquiries.
Locations are shown as approximate, exactly as on your share pages, and internal fields and custom fields are never sent. A key can make up to 120 requests a minute.
Running WordPress? The Estate CRM WordPress plugin does all of this without a developer. To show a development’s price list, see show projects on your website.
