How to import a developer's price list from Excel

Import a new-build project's units from the developer's Excel or CSV price list, check every row before it is added, and create blocks automatically.

Developers usually send their price list as a spreadsheet. Instead of typing in every apartment, you can import it into a project in one go. This article shows how to prepare the file, check the preview and add the units.

You need a plan that includes new-build projects (Professional or Enterprise) and permission to add listings.

How should the spreadsheet look?

• An Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file, up to 500 units.
• The first row holds the column headings. Estate CRM recognises these, in English or Greek, and ignores any other columns: Unit, Block, Type, Floor, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Covered, Veranda, Plot, Parking, Pool, Price, VAT and Status. Greek headings such as Μονάδα, Τύπος, Όροφος, Υπνοδωμάτια and Τιμή work too.
• The file needs at least a unit or a price column.
• Floors can be numbers, or words like “Ground” / “Ισόγειο” (read as 0) and “Basement” / “Υπόγειο” (read as -1).
• Status can be Available, Reserved, Sold or Draft (or the Greek words, such as Διαθέσιμο and Πωλήθηκε). An empty status means Available.

You don’t need to create blocks first: any block named in the file that doesn’t exist yet is created during the import.

How do I import the units?

1. Open the project, go to the Units tab and click Import from Excel/CSV.
2. Click Choose a file and pick the price list.
3. Check the preview. Every row is shown with what was read from it, and any problems are listed next to it. Rows whose unit name is already in the project are unticked, with the note A unit with this name is already in this project.
4. Untick any rows you don’t want to add.
5. If some rows have no recognised type, choose one under Type for rows without a known type.
6. Click the button that shows how many units will be added, for example Add 24 units.

Nothing is saved until you confirm — if the preview looks wrong, click Choose another file, fix the spreadsheet and try again.

What happens after the import?

Each row becomes a unit — a listing with the project’s area, address, energy class and managing agent. Available units are matched to your buyers straight away, so you see who might be interested in the matches inbox. An import never e-mails your clients: you choose when to send them the units.

To change many units later, tick them in the Units tab and use Set status, Move to block, Set VAT or Set price.
