How to set up a new-build project with blocks and units

Create an off-plan or new-build development in Estate CRM, group its units into blocks and keep prices and availability up to date in one place.

Selling a new development — say, an off-plan apartment block in Limassol or a group of villas in Paphos — means tracking dozens of units at once. In Estate CRM a project holds the development’s details and photos, and every unit in it is an ordinary listing. This article shows how to create a project, add blocks and units, and update many units in one go.

New-build projects are part of the Professional and Enterprise plans. Anyone who can add listings can add projects.

How do I create a project?

1. Open Projects in the sidebar and click New project.
2. Enter the Name, and choose the Developer from your contacts (tick Developer as the contact’s role to keep them easy to find), the Managing agent, Status (Planned, Under construction or Completed), Category, Area, Energy class and the Delivery month and Delivery year.
3. Click Create project.

On the project’s page, click Edit to add the address, map position, Description (English), Description (Greek) and Internal notes. Under Photos, add pictures of the development as a whole — the first one is the cover.

How do I add blocks and units?

Blocks group units, for example by building or phase.

1. Open the Units tab and click Add block. Name it, for example “Block A”.
2. In the block, click Add unit. Fill in Unit (such as A101), Type, Status, Floor (0 = ground, -1 = basement), Bedrooms, Bathrooms, areas, Sale price and VAT.
3. Click Add unit, or Add and next to keep going.

Each unit becomes a listing with the project’s area, address, energy class and managing agent. A planned project’s units are marked off-plan. To add photos, floor plans or a description to one unit, use its menu and Open listing. Duplicate copies a unit, which is quick for identical floors.

Because units are listings, they match your buyers, can be shared and can go into deals like any other property.

How do I update many units at once?

Tick the units (or Select all) and use the bar that appears: Set status (for example to reserved or sold), Move to block, Set VAT or Set price.

The top of the project page shows how much is sold and how many units are Available, Reserved and Sold.

What if I delete a project?

Delete project removes the project, its blocks and photos. Its units stay as normal listings.
